Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) is a sweet, nourishing herb supports healthy lungs mechanism. Due to its unctuous quality its moistens vata and liquefies kapha leads to expectoration and clear breathing.

The University of Michigan Health System reports that licorice contains cortisol. Licorice herbs are made of glycyrrhizin, an acid ingredient known to inactivate enzymes that break down cortisol and increase cortisol levels in the blood.

Licorice powder used here is wet triturated with fresh decoction of the same herb  on a particular day and particular time Pushya Nakshtra (cosmic rays) to enhance the properties of herb.Bhavana(wet triturated) is used often in Ayurvedic formulations to increase the potency and for size reduction(micronized powder) so that the efficacy of the herb get enhanced.

Chemical composition: Main chemical constitutes is saponin known as Glycyrrhizin, also known as Glycyrrhizic Acid, which is an extremely sweet, foaming triterpene glycoside.
